Hey Terry, Cavan, Lyndon, Don and Mike,
Maybe you remember me? I once was a lackey to Lee Allen at Carousel. You made my job worthwhile and even though I was more a hard rocker than Teddy Boy you made me welcome at all your gigs especially the Lyceum. When I left for the States (and a new life outside of music) you guys were what I missed the most. I'm glad you're still rockin'!
Back to my point...
I remember a gig at Picketts Lock in 1976. I also recall you got me pretty plastered that night and a cop tailing me all the way back to St. Albans. Anyway... I just came across my old LPs (not that I have anything to play them on any more) and realised I don't have my copy of that album. Since there was a picture of my first wife on the back cover (checking handbags at the entrance) I guess she probably took it when we split (many, many moons ago.)
I was sure that album was released in the UK before I left (Nov 1977) but the only reference I see in your discography is two albums released by Charly in France in 1983. Is my memory gone (like my hair?)
I get back to visit every couple of years, my folks retired to the Isle of Wight (what a cliché) but I'm still a poor working stiff, though I still love rock 'n' roll music and especially miss the joy of your shows. So hopefully I'll get to see you again some day?
All the best, cheers, and Keep on Rockin'
John Rowe
